Latest work
Unpacking the intangible, Sonic Souvenir serves to explore the role of sound and its effect within a dysfunctional family. Carolyn Birdsall elegantly phrased sound as 'an embodied process of remembering (Birdsall, 2009). Resonating with this, even though my father had left the household, his presence left behind sonic imprints for me and my mum to 'reminisce' the past. It created a domestic soundscape unique to my family.
